Stracto Warranties and Guaranties

When you purchase your Stratco Outback patio or accessories from All Sheds, you are covered by a comprehensive warranty. Stratco’s warranty includes everything from your structure itself to the paint finish, installation and any extras such as controllers, blinds and downpipes.

 

On all Outback patios, Stratco offers a 25 year structural warranty that starts from the date of installation and covers the ability of the materials to withstand the design loads required for the structure as outlined in the technical specifications in the span tables published when you order your structure. On top of this, you also get an 8 year paint finish warranty that covers any flaking, peeling, delaminating or fading for the date of installation that is more than a normal amount. The downpipes of your patio also have their own separate warranty 15 year material and 15 year manufacturer warranty.

 

Stratco also offers a one year warranty on installation when your patio is installed by an authorised dealer such as All Sheds, a 5 year warranty on the Ambient Blinds from the date of purchase and a 2 year warranty on sunroof controllers.

 

All warranty claims must be made to Stratco in writing within the warranty period. Before repairing or replacing your product, Stratco will inspect your product to ensure that your product is defective through no fault of your own.

25 year Structural and 8 year Paint Finish Warranty:

  • Warranty only applies to the original purchaser
  • For the warranty to be valid, your patio must be installed within 30 days of delivery to your installation address, and your warranty card is registered within 30 days of installation with appropriate proof of purchase

 

Structural

  • If you make your claim within 5 years, Stratco will cover all associated costs
  • If you make your claim between 5 and 25 years, you will have to contribute 1/20th of the cost of the recommended retail price and pay for any labour costs

 

Paint Finish

  • If you make your claim within 3 years, Stratco will cover all associated costs
  • If you make your claim between 3 and 8 years, you will have to contribute 1/5th of the cost of the recommended retail price and pay for any labour costs

 

 

5 year Ambient Blind warranty:

  • Warranty only applies to the original purchaser
  • Stratco will either repair or replace your defective blinds with an identical or similar product if it meets the warranty criteria

 

15 year Downpipe warranty:

  • Warranty only applies to the original purchaser
  • Any additional related costs or work required to disconnect or reconnect your downpipes, remove them from brackets or other support material, obtaining access to your downpipes, repairing and replacing any existing structure or material, including the cost of lifting equipment, temporary storage of water and other costs associated with obtaining clear access your downpipes to complete the repair or replacement will be at your expense.

 

 

What’s not covered/exclusions:

General

  • Any product that has not been properly protected against damage before and during installation
  • Defects or damage caused by any one or more of the following: improper installation, buckling, fire, accident, abuse, mistreatment, neglect, unsuitable roof traffic, storm damage, acts of God, incompatible materials, overflow from air conditioners, poor drainage, insufficient care or exposure to acidic or corrosive or other abnormal conditions
  • Any product not installed following Stratco’s instructions
  • Any product to which paint, varnish, enamel or any other coating or compound has been applied by any person other than Stratco
  • Any product to which items are attached (whether permanently or temporarily) that exceeds the design load allowed by Stratco engineers.
  • Any Product that is moved after it has been installed

 

Structural and Paint Finish

  • Any components of the structure (including columns, posts and roof flashings) which are or have been at any time in contact with soil, fertiliser, sand, green or wet timber, plant or garden materials, or any substance, film or product that may retain moisture against any surface of the structure, or in relation to any failure or damage of or to the structure caused or contributed to by such contact.
  • Any structure that’s design has been modified after submission to Stratco for the supply of materials.
  • Any structure where drainage fall does not comply with Australian Standards.
  • Any structure that does not comply with Stratco Outback Span Tables and any subsequent revisions or advices issued by Stratco.
  • Any structure with a wind loading different to that advised to Stratco at the time of ordering the structure
  • Any structure with water leakage or consequential damage caused by the movement of water, either within or from the structure or any attached buildings or structures
  • Any structure that has had a room enclosure or one or more walls, screens or blinds added after the original design and engineering of the structure unless it has been done by any and all applicable Stratco specifications and published Outback Span Tables at the time of addition by Stratco or an Authorised Dealer and using Stratco materials
  • Any structure where the Cooldek has been exposed to ambient temperatures above 50 degrees Celsius in full sun or the surface of the Cooldek (upper or lower) is heated above 80 degrees Celsius

 

Ambient Blinds

  • When not used by normal use
  • Failure to properly handle, store or maintain
  • Failure to follow instructions or guidelines on use and storage
  • When the blinds have been modified other than following the installation instructions
  • Splitting due to fasteners being applied
  • When installed on unstable, unsound, unlevel surfaces or a position that allows the blinds to move after installation
  • Use of the blinds with another product by another manufacturer
  • Deterioration due to sea salt spray or another corrosive atmosphere
  • Damage by wind gusts or squalls
  • Binds larger than 12m2
  • Variations in colour, texture or patterning

 

Downpipes

  • Any downpipes containing water that has had chemicals added
  • Any downpipes where the water pressure has increased above its design pressure
  • Any downpipes that have been used for a purpose other than moving water as defined by the Australian Drinking Water Guidelines
  • Any downpipes that have been damaged by wind
  • Any downpipes or associated items supplied by Stratco, such as fittings, that have been modified
  • Any downpipes that have been installed on unstable or unsound surfaces or where the supporting surface is unable to adequately support the mass of the downpipe if blocked and filled with water
  • Warranty won’t be valid unless all the materials used have been supplied by Stratco
